GEORGE 104 CENTURY VILLAGE ZERO!!!

Hi All,

I am advised that in the Election for President of UCO; the vote was:

1) George Loewenstein.......................104

2) Dave Israel....................................... 90

3) Phyllis Richland............................... 51

I do not know if this is accurate as I got it second hand.

de Tocqueville reputedly said that “in a democracy, the people get the government they deserve"

To those of you who George dredged up by cruising both local temples, in his blatant playing of the "Religion Card" I say "rig for heavy weather"

You have literally enabled the lunatics to take over the asylum. How after witnessing the shameful debacle of July 11th. 2008 could you grant any credibility to this petulant child, who, when reversed by his Board of Directors, quit in childish snit!

Where is the leadership, where is the morality and ethics? Situational at best outright toxic at worst.

As I left the Theater after Delegate Assembly, I encountered Howie Silver; he immediately acted out his genetic code instructions and flashed me a vigorous "short arm salute", charming, Howie, simply charming"

Where will King George get the credibility to run UCO? His 104 votes are hardly a mandate, so I say to those of you who cherish the freedoms we hold so dear in America; attend every meeting, insist on your rights as Unit Owners, if enough disinfecting sunshine engulfs King George, perhaps he can be induced to do the right thing again; resign; or emulate the movie vampires and simply vaporise in a puff of fire and smoke!!!

For the moment; I suggest that those of us who still retain our sanity and reason seriously consider a movement to recall King George before we are once again sucked back into the Dark Ages.

Dave Israel

I'm waiting to see where Phyllis lands after this election?

Phyllis the Nader of Century Village #%^&*(**

recall would only require 175 delegates, and with 141 vote against him we need only 34 more.

from the 245 deegates who voted against or failed to attend, only 175 is needed.

we have a 75 delegate cushion.

Phyllis! what about the guy who felt sorry for her at nominations and got up to give her the 10th second!!!! and keep her in play.

I say we stop paying UCO, put our Dues in a safe account, where the UCO board can't squander it and have a recall vote on king George.

Well, Dave, you have finally hit bottom, just when I thought there was no further you could sink.Have you never grown up or are you content remaining in middle school with the sore loser attitude that states that when you lose, everyone else is at fault. Face it - you lost because people could not stand your negative campaign, your obvious cabal with Ed Black et al and others of that ilk who need to feel POWER in order to validate their lives. Leave George alone. He has done a bang up job for the past few years as R\President,fixing many of the mistakes of the previous regimne - and I specifically chose that word - and now we wish him to continue. So grow up and get a life. Work for the betterment of the Village .Sesame Street taught it well - cooperation. Try it - you might like it or I can send you the times of Sesame on line for you to get with the program.Enough dirty politics, name calling, and other little tantrums. And if you want to know why this is anonymous is that I do not wish to find myself in your petty little mouth.

If there is a hurricane will George run away and resign?
When people see what was spent on lawyers (still carefully hidden) and they complain, will George resign?

As I arrived for voting, I encountered Howie Silver; he immediately acted out his genetic code instructions and ran to and fro telling everyone loudly that there were “a lot of piles of poo poo around”, charming, Howie, simply charming. We have so much to look forward to.

a sign of things to come
In the middle of the delegate meeting, Phyliss was asked to come up front and someone handed her the microphone. She started to speak and a loud booming sound came over the system...and the lights went out. In the darkness, everyone wondered what was happening. People started walking towards the exit, and someone shouted through the darkness...George,George, you won!!
Three ladies walking in front of me said...boooooooo.

Shame on you. I thought you a better person than to be a sore loser. Instead of graciuosly accepting defeat - you once again look to split the village. I should have expected this since this blog has bashed this administration since its inception. By the way you hit a new low bringing up the religion as a deciding factor. Perhaps it is a good thing you lost.

I was looking forward to signing my name to my postings. Unfortunately, not possible at this time...some of you geniuses re-elected self-serving George.

I'm very sad to hear the news. Dave, you would have been a wonderful president, exactly what we need. I just can't believe our neighbors can be so foolish.

I have heard of being a poor sport, but you take the cake. you are also a hate monger. Now people will see you for what you are a small repulsive person who lost an election.

At the delegate meeting today, it was openly announced by some of Dave's supporters that if George won, they had planned to all get up together and walk out. Due to the problem with the electric, they weren't able to accomplish their childish, juvenile performance. David portrays himself as an extremely intelligent person, but his actions show that he has no common sense and no respect for others. His followers would have displayed their kiddie, groupie mentality if the power hadn't failed. It's sad to see senior adults resort to this type of behaviour.

Anonymous 5:39, what a horrible thing to write. You should be ashamed of yourself.

Sy Rosen wrote "I hope that Friday's vote of confidence for whoever is elected, returns our great community in CV to a sense of unity and purpose" I guess Dave feels the turmoil and dissention must continue. Too Bad. I thought he was more mature than that.

What A sad day in Century Village,I guess it is true old habits are hard to break. We still are giving in too temper tantrums to spoiled bratty children.I am sorry Dave did not get voted in but I am also sorry that anyone but George did not get in.Dave all I want to say right now is GOD BLESS you for all your efforts. Now all those that posted here or on the Q & A will be told not to show up any longer at the UCO office and Carole will have full control again. So Dave please don"t give up on CENTURY VILLAGE.Does anyone know who the vice presidents are?I hope there are no repercussions for Randal.

Anony 6:20, No one goes to the CV Q&A anymore . It got a little action because the blog people were puting stuff on it for the election. It will go back to it's insipid existence once again.

It appears that Dave Israel not only lost the election but all sense of decency. "YOU LOST THE ELECTION" and with your comments probably lost any possible ability to win an election in the future. There are many terms that can be used now such as sore looser. The smart play would be to say nothing and plan for the future. It appears that Dave Israel is not happy living here and is acting like a spoiled child. I guess the voters realized that and chose someone else.

ANONY 7:06 I DO BELIEVE YOU HAVE IT WRONG DAVE IS NOT THE SPOILED CHILD IT IS GEORGE WHO ALONG WITH HOWIE ACTED LIKE A SPOILED BRATTY CHILD WITH THERE TEMPER TANTRUMS.LAST I HEARD THIS IS A 55 AND OLDER COMMUNITY NOT A 5 YEAR AND YOUNGER DAY CARE. PEOPLE FOR YOUR OWN SAKE GROW UP SMELL THE ROSES

Act as your own lawyer and you have a fool for a client.

I am sorry things went the way they did, but as I previously posted, I had a feeling with 2 strong canditates we would have a split vote which would give Mr Lowenstein a win. Its too bad Physlis and Dave didn't decide to have only one of them run. I also feel all the negative, hurtful things written by some people signing "anonymous" shows you people don't have the courage to sign your own name---PITY!!

Norma there were three strong candidates and the people chose the strongest one.

KING GEORGE I AM SURE WILL BRING PRINCE HOWIE BACK TO THE CHANNEL..EVEN AFTER THEY BOTH DIDN"T CARE WHAT HAPPEN TO US ALL.
EVEN THOUGH HOWIE WANTED TO BE PAID TO RUN 63.
EVIDENTLY A 104 DELEGATES DIDN'T CARE. HOPEFULLY, THE PEOPLE WILL KEEP A GOOD EYE ON THIS ADMINISTRATION AND WATCH WHO IS APPOINTED TO WHAT.
IF YOU CONSIDER THIS SOUR GRAPES yes, YOU ARE RIGHT!!

The truism of which you speak refers to one who defends himself in a court of law. My only motivation was not to in fact defend myself, but to defend the rights (through the "Open Meeting Resolution")of my fellow Century Villagers. Sorry for any inconvenience I may have created in my pursuit to enforce transparency in our local government.

As a seated delegate I attended todays meeting and like others listed to the meeting reports while we waited for the election results to be announced. During one of the committee reports I was somewhat surprised to hear an officers chastise the person giving the committee report to the delegates. It appears that the officer felt that matter should have been presented to the officers first before informing the delegates. What surprised me is that the officer did not seem to remember that at the July 11 meeting the delegates made it clear that THEY wanted to know what is going on and they the delegates were running the village and the officers were there to serve the residents not the other way.It is also unfortunate that the meeting ended before the correction to the July 11 resolution that would allow the officers to get together for routine matters without having to post proper notice. Until the change is ratified the officers are walking on egg shells.

Small hope, but with better VPs now added to the mix, the old (bad)way of doing UCO business will be harder to get away with.

Well, here we are again, where we left off before the insane July 11 meeting. If you add Dave,s and Phyllis' votes, the village really does not want the present group back. It's unfortunate that Phyllis did not withdraw so we could start with a new slate. If all of those buildings that voted to oust this group withdrew from UCO, it would colapse and we could start a better system. Think about it. This time, we could remedy all of the mistakes in structure, we are now stuck with. Another thought..if you are not very smart, you surround yourself with people who are less intelligent than you. If you are bright, you realize that you need the best brains available to help run an organization. As for the religion issue, it was evident in this election and was a major factor when the Marshall group was defeated. God help the village if those of you who voiced your need for change do not stay united and on target for continuing to work for change. And to those who still want to bash me, there is nothing left that you can accuse me of or say about me that you haven't already. You wouldn't attact me if you were not afraid of me because I stand up for what I believe and I put my money where my mouth is. No matter what you say or do to me I will always be here to watch you and fight your closed meetings, hidden finances, undemocratic closed media and all of the other attrocities you try to perpetrate on this village. I saw today that I am no longer alone but 140 other people want you out also.
