NEW WPRF COMPUTER FOR UNIT OWNER USE

Newly installed in the WPRF Staff Office off the main lobby in the Clubhouse; is a Workstation for Unit Owner use. I have tested the machine and find it to be an excellent, well configured machine. Following is a brief description of the machine parameters, the Software and the rules for usage.

Brand/Model: Dell, Vostro 200 series

Monitor: Flat panel LCD 16:9 aspect ratio, Circa 20 inch.

Software: Power point, Microsoft Word and Excel Spreadsheet, Windows Media Player, Microsoft Office Tools, Power DVD Player, Windows movie maker and Outlook 2002, to name but a few.

Operating System: Windows XP Home Edition

Memory: 1024Mbyte
Hard Drive: 75Gbyte
Clock speed: 1.75Ghz

INTERNET Connectivity: Via WiFi.

Browser: Internet Explorer

Email: Via Microsoft Outlook

Read/Write Media: CD/DVD burner Re-writeable (No Floppy drive)

I/O: USB and Audio

RULES OF USE

1) Give your ID to a WPRF Staffer, who will make a record of your machine usage.
2) You may then use the machine for 45 minutes, after which you must Log off and your ID will be returned.
3) Staffers will not provide instruction on the use of the Computer.

Too bad you weren't smart enough to notice that the Microsoft Word applications (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) are only trial versions.

Writing to you from the shiny computer at the Clubhouse,
Rules- Daytime, weekends and holidays:
Residents may use the computer for 45 mins. Begins 9am. Last user no later than 4pm. No nightime use for anyone – no exceptions.
(I needed earplugs to concentrate in the CH office, chat plus conga music blasting thru the building.)
