Hi Mark,
The following is extracted from the CV Q & A:

Does any (one) know if the water fountains in the lake are ever going to work again? They were very nice. I remember there was talk about it a few years ago, but nothing was ever done.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This is a somewhat complicated issue; when the fountains were originally installed the electricity to run them came from the Admin./Medical center building, which then was the property of W.P.R.F., Inc.
When Brad Estra purchased the building he did not realize that he was paying for the power to run the fountains for a long time.
When he found out, to make a long story short, instead of simply having FPL cut off the meter and the power, he destroyed the wires.
Now there is a controversy as to how to proceed; a number of possibilities occur;
1) Reroute the wires to the Clubhouse.
2) have the wires reconnected to a single meter in the Medical building and simply agree to pay the bill on that meter.
3) construct a small solar power panel along the shoreline for each fountain and let the sun power the fountains which in due course would amortize out the original costs.
I believe this issue is on UCO's plate and will be resolved in due course.

The solar Panel option sounds like the way to go. Mike
The fountains are part of the Millennium Amendment of the long term lease. Section 13, (d) states....(At the Lessor's sole expense)..construct two (2) illuminated fountains in the lakes in front of the clubhouse.
This is management's problem and should have been fixed a long time ago. We make our payments on time and expect UCO to make sure management handles their responsibilities on time.
Anita Cruz at the Clubhouse has been involved in ongoing attempts to return the fountains, it is not just a matter of plugging them in. They are very corroded, engineers have been looking at that (I do not know the extent of the destruction) WPRF has spent ‘quite a lot’ on the problem. The Medical Bldg meter room has been relocated from near the lake to the NE of the bldg, none of the previous wiring exists. Etc. big headache.
It is time for UCO or WPRF to give a proper report. It is ironic that we now have pretty benches where we can sit and contemplate the dead fountains.
Millennium Agreeement stated provide Capital Improvement of 2 fountains, they did fulfill that. Their money is always our money anyhow. It is time for an explanation report. Has it been 4 years not working?

We are not interested in a report, we are interested in working fountains. Or are to assume that if management lets them sit long enough, the damage to the fountains gets so bad that it become a maintenance problem and the unit owners get to pay for it. As per usual.
This situation was created by management and it is up to management to take care of it. And why didn't UCO, representing the unit owners, handle this a long time ago ?
You anonymous are a whiner, I AM NOT A WHINER, I AM A BITCHER, BIG DIFFERENCE
What happened? I know this is after the fact, when the new owner
found out that he was paying the
electric, (1) did he notify same to
WPRF,UCO, I would think that would
be the first action taken, if there are memo,s to this action let
there be known. I write this because we seem to be alway,s being
asked to pay for someones other
mistakes? Who is responsible that
the end result was cutting the
wires to create another wrong and
create another instanced that I
think could and should have been
avoided! Logic tells me a problem
was found, Mr. Estra should have
gone to UCO, and state his Concerns
and he cut the wires because why?
Dodiligence was not done and we
may be the one,s shortcircuited!!
The condo laws were written because the Developer makes promises and then doesn't follow through. Levy caused this problem, Levy must fix this problem in a timely manner. ( 2 months is appropiate )
