WHAT IS THAT ANTENNA AT THE FOUR CORNERS NEAR GOLF'S EDGE?

Hi All,
Have you seen this antenna at the corner of the Ring Road and Century Blvd., Did you wonder what it is?

Well it is a Telemetry (to measure from afar) monitoring station; it is part of the upgraded sewer lift pumping station being installed.

There are thousands of these SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) installations across Florida and Nationally.

They monitor the operation of many facilities and transmit data in real time to a central computer facility where

Engineers can anticipate incipient malfunction and within certain parameters effect repair, or dispatch a crew to fix the problem.

Check it out, it is not pretty, but it is important.

I thought it was an Alexander Caldwell sculpture.

Are you saying in this dear old school enclave, the highest tech item is our sewage! It’s a good thing.

'Incipient malfunction' - its a clog and we all know about those.
