BLOG ARCHIVES

Hi All,
As of this Post there are some 876 posts on our BLOG; also thousands of comments.

This is to remind you all, that while only seven days are seen on the BLOG page, all of the posts and comments are available in the archives, from BLOG inception.

If you look in the Sidebar, all Posts are archived by month, and may be retrieved with a mouse click.

Another powerful feature is the "search BLOG" capability; each Post has a Label tag, simply type your search term in the dialog box at the upper left and all Posts with that Search Term will be retrieved.

The blog is nice, but it is mainly geared to tween mentality. How about setting up an official line of communication with UCO officials ? The forum is dead, you might as well bury it. We need a way to communicate with someone that can give us snowbirds real answers.

From what I read, nobody knows what the Levy settlement is, how much the lawyers got, how much the UCO office cost, no report on the Levy budget, no report on the UCO budget, etc, etc, etc.

I for one enjoy the Blog and have gotten a lot of useful information. How about, when you come down, you go to a UCO meeting and stand up and ask the questions. I, for one, would love to have the answers as well. Of course if you do then you won't be anonymous anymore.

I agree with all, I know also what anon. is looking for, and I also know this forum is seen if wanted everywhere, but if it"s in the UCO paper, maybe other concerns could be put on this forum where the print is easier to read, every printer to this blog knows how
I acknowledge this forum, keep up the good work. Some data may also be for CV Resident's eyes only
and also that has to be considerd
and respected.

Hi A Nony Mouse
Sep 26, 2008 9:00:00 AM,

Not all people feel comfortable with Computers.

I agree that all UCO Officers should be on this BLOG answering questions and providing accurate information, however, they were not on the Q & A Forum either.

Having said that, it is important to inject some facts;

1) The settlement with WPRF has been published with complete numbers.

2) The current running costs of the new UCO office building is available from UCO.

3) The WPRF draft 2009 budget was presented at the Operations Committee meeting two cycles back and is available from UCO.

4) The draft 2009 UCO budget has been presented at least twice, most recently at a Budget workshop and will be presented to the Delegate Assembly of 3 October, 2008

The only number which indeed has not been disclosed, to my knowledge, is the exact total paid to the attorney Bleau. It may be available from UCO, but I am not sure.

Now; having said all that, do you really want all these details published on the BLOG?

BRAVO DAVID!!!!!!!!!!!!
SO WELL PUT.............
However, I would like to see the
continuation of this Blog...and not
be combined with the Q&A...
The old Q&A, should still be under
UCO's guidelines, with questions
directed to and answered by those
who can provide facts, not opinions,to village issues...
The Blog on the other hand, can
be used for other postings,pictures
such as elaine provides us with
etc....

Keep up the good work Dave! You do a wonderful job keeping us all informed. I know so much more about my community and am much more informed about the issues that relate to each and every one of us! Don't change a thing!
thank you, Chris

From day one on the Q&A as well as the Blog we have hoped that UCO would provide factual input. UCO does not seem to grasp that the appearance of secrecy makes the residents suspicious, no matter what the actual situation. Wouldn’t it be easy for some of their 250 volunteers to answer questions. Not everyone in UCO is busy busy.
