Hulett showed up while I was away and offered to 3-treat around our 24-unit bldg for $600. I still have not seen any whiteflies here. Is the spraying widespread in the Village? Any updated info would be welcome, we have a movement to let the hedges go and replace with cocoplum someday.
What did Grace do?
Have the flies eaten Lanny's hedges yet?

There is a whitefly eaten hedge at the corner of Elgin and Glencoe (around a dumpster) in an area managed by Seacrest.
I just had my building done (20 units) by Hulett at a cost of $125.00 quarterly. Fortunately, the White Fly residue (whitish flakes) found on my hedges was only just beginning. I had asked to be shown exactly what signs to look for and was assured that continued maintenance(spraying)would eliminate the condition. It is a very serious and real threat, which if left untreated once "infected", would be irreversable. Every association should consider the costs of protection vs. the cost of replacement. The hedges around the dumpsters should also receive treatment.
We paid Hulett $150 and will have it done quarterly. We are 24 units with bushes front and some in the back. They were far cheaper than Seacrest and did the work the next day.
Thank you bloggers. That is strange on the way to Hastings, one hedge entirely consumed, these flies finish what is on their plate and then move on. We will get Hulett. Our hedges look clean except for at the dumpster which is totally infested, that particular dumpster hedge was sprayed by Seacrest. oops I forgot Lanny had removed hedges.
There is a $50 coupon from Hulett for whitefly treatment on page 26E of the PB Post today.
Will it fly?
