Here Is The News

In recent weeks, we have heard that newspapers folded, in some cases to metamorphosize into web sites. In recent months, we have heard that newspapers have fired staffers in order to save money. How is The New York Post doing? As the USA Today of the elephant set, I imagine it's healthier than The Times.

The sports pages of the NY Post are still outstanding. The main part of the paper is much like the old " Enquirer" used to be. It cannot compete with the NY Times, and it is so out of touch with the people of New York City. However, it does publish the best and sexiest pictures.

I am waiting on baited breath for the news that the NT Times has died. It has been expected since the ownership has made a dramatic left turn in their reporting. Reflecting on our own UCO Reporter, this issue was so dull and underwhelming that I used it as filler for a box that I was sending north. The only ray of sunshine in the issue was Kurt Weiss's usual insightful theme. Keep up the good work Kurt. Perhaps George should take a course in journalism 101 and learn how to put some zip into his "drudge" report.
