Cellphone Interference

I am having a problem with my cellphone. It is a Razr. Every time I pass through a high concentration of wires, I get an echo with whoever I am speaking with. It makes understanding whatever is being said almost impossible. Any suggestions? (No, I don't think parmesan cheese will fix it.)

Hi Flynn,
The wires which you speak of carry various signals and they produce Electromagnetic Radiation which is picked up by your Cell Phone as interference.

You can't beat the physics, but you may be able to mitigate the effects a bit with an external car mounted antenna.

They are not free but the folowing example may help to some extent.

As I have noted before; the Cell Phone is at base a Radio device and they are subject to Radio Frequency interference; there are some neat tricks, like CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access)
but there is no way to totally eliminate RF Interference.

Dave can you fix the interference on my portable home phone, I get CV voices, chain saws, running water! etc.?
Maybe shielding in the condo walls!

Flynn, go to Bellantes AYCE great mozzarella garlic bread, gooey melty cheese everywhere and immaculate parmesan containers, you will not care about your phone.
