In George Loewenstein's column, he states due in fact that we absorb the fees, of
some volunteer's who are now Notarys, and that this service is available to all..
It would be interesting to know, if any of the blogger's, would available themselves
of this service, considering that discreation is not one of the virtues,shared by
many in this adminstration.

We need to remind ourselves that the Notary is only indicating that the person who presented the document was known by the Notary or presented documentation to identify himself and that the document's signature was done in the Notary's presence.
The contents of the documentation are immaterial.
HOWEVER, many folks do not understand this and assume that it is the document rather than the signature that is Notarized.
I believe what bettie was referring to was that the person notarizing the document would have and insight to the document and not be descreet about the contents.
Hopefully this would not be the case.
For those of you who, for whatever reason, are uncomfortable with UCO notarizing your signature on your document, your bank has a notary and most banks will be happy to notarize signatures for it's customers.
Ha, ha! do not use washington mutual on community. Its my bank, teller said where are your 2 witnesses, I said but you are my bank you have my signature and all my info. The teller did not even come out from behind bulletproof glass, just blew me away. I’ll use uco and cover sensitive info.

requiring this service, could not
possibly conclude the document,and
not their signature was being afirmed, and now to the discretion
issue.. There of course is no
guarantee, that the Banks, whom we
all know perform this service usually at no charge to their clients, will honor the confidentiality, however the likelyhood,of details leaking out
in this community, are minimal to
none.
So again, back to my original post.
